What is meditation?

Meditation is a number of exercises that concentrate on incorporating the mind and body together to calm the mind and enhance overall well-being.

There are many types of meditation that people use. The different forms of meditation can involve holding a specific sense through imagery, or breath work, hearing, mantra and many more.

There is an abundance of evidence to demonstrate the health benefits of meditation practice. This includes mental health aspects such as anxiety, depression, working memory, emotional regulation, negative attitudes, somatic conditions and many more.


It also helps with physical health aspects such as immune functions, gastrointestinal conditions, reduced blood pressure or hypertension, menopausal symptoms, chronic pain conditions, again to name a few. Though, it might be that you'd just like to use meditation to switch off and relax from every day stresses but struggle to do this alone.

Initial step

Sessions can be carried out on an individual basis in a quiet space in Chester, or I am available for group sessions to a place of your choice in Chester or the surrounding areas. I am also available to carry our sessions for employers wishing to assist with the well-being of their employee's in the work place.

If you would prefer a one to one session for a meditation session, then a comfortable and ambient room will be provided in Hoole, Chester where you will be guided through the meditation session.
