Meditation is a number of exercises that concentrate on incorporating the mind and body together to calm the mind and enhance overall well-being.
There are many types of meditation that people use. The different forms of meditation can involve holding a specific sense through imagery, or breath work, hearing, mantra and many more.
There is an abundance of evidence to demonstrate the health benefits of meditation practice. This includes mental health aspects such as anxiety, depression, working memory, emotional regulation, negative attitudes, somatic conditions and many more.
It also helps with physical health aspects such as immune functions, gastrointestinal conditions, reduced blood pressure or hypertension, menopausal symptoms, chronic pain conditions, again to name a few. Though, it might be that you'd just like to use meditation to switch off and relax from every day stresses but struggle to do this alone.
Sessions can be carried out both online or face to face, whichever your preference. The benefits to online meditation can vary, one of the main reasons being that it offers less time constraints by reducing travelling time providing you have a comfortable space to be ‘present’ with me.
If you would prefer to be in person for a meditation session, then a comfortable and ambient room will be provided in Chester. You will be guided through the meditation session, once we have discussed what it is you would like to use meditation for.
